Adjunct Membership Criteria for Corporate Senior IT Executives

This set of criteria will be applicable to CHIME applicants who do not meet the current primary membership criteria as it relates to their management responsibilities, but who otherwise appear to be high-level IT executives.

For these IT executives, CHIME will give further consideration to their application for membership using a point-based criteria. This point system will weigh the level of authority the candidate possesses within their organization and, if assessed to be a sufficiently high level, will entitle the candidate to be considered for membership in CHIME.

In addition to meeting the Corporate Senior IT Executives criteria, the candidate must have the organization’s highest ranking IS executive/CIO attest to the validity of the candidate’s ranking of these criteria and write a letter of recommendation. That CIO is required to be a current member of CHIME. Corporate Senior IT Executive applicants must also complete the regular CHIME application as well as the Corporate Senior IT Executive form to be eligible to join.

CHIME isn't only about furthering your professional development, membership is actually enjoyable. I share many of the same interests and challenges both professional and personal as my peers. The diversity and quality of the people I have met over the years has been an added reward. Work hard and play hard is what you can expect from being a member of CHIME.

I have found the IT Warehouse and the CIO Connection newsletter to be valuable information sources tailored to the unique challenges facing CIOs in healthcare. Those combined with the College Live sessions and the semi-annual CIO Forums provide me with a powerful combination of information and professional networking which more than justify the cost of membership.
