StateNet Eligibility and Website Policy
Each state represented by StateNet shall be led by a current CHIME member CIO volunteer. The purpose of this initiative is to bring provider CIOs together in order to address the evolving state role in the distribution of ARRA funds and the adoption of meaningful use criteria. All healthcare CIOs are eligible to participate in their state’s group (CHIME membership not required). CHIME members may invite select staff, including current CHIME Affiliate Program participants, to join. Senior healthcare IT professionals that are employed by a vendor or professional services firm may not join StateNet.
CHIME will support and host a website that makes the majority of information available to the public. The CHIME member CIO lead will receive a special administrative back-end link that will allow them to upload and delete any documents from their state’s area. CHIME members will be able to register for their state’s list-serve through the CHIME list-serve system. Any non-CHIME member CIO who wishes to be added to a particular state’s list-serve will need to register and be approved. Only CHIME members and registered non-CHIME members will have access to the contact information of the CHIME member CIO leader and the other participants.
