CHIME's CIO Advocacy Leadership Team
CHIME's CIO Advocacy Leadership Team (ALT) members include over 65 healthcare IT executives representing
a diversity of environments including community hospitals, large multi-hospital systems, teaching institutions,
rural and urban facilities and critical access and specialty hospitals.
As a voice of the healthcare IT executive, the ALT serves to inform and influence public policy leaders and other
officials on the role of information technology in transforming the delivery of healthcare, while providing CHIME
members with the latest information regarding new HIT legislation, regulations and polices.
Whether you are new to healthcare IT advocacy, just want to keep up with the current legislation and regulatory
changes impacting our industry or are an experienced CIO who has shared expertise with federal and state policymakers,
the Advocacy Leadership Team (ALT) welcomes you. Led by Board Member Pam McNutt of Methodist Health System/Dallas with
staff support from CHIME Senior Director of Advocacy Programs Sharon Canner, ALTs current focus includes advocacy for
implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) health IT provisions and growing health IT activism
at the State level.
