CHIME Announces Board of Trustees Election Results

CHIME is pleased to announce the election of members Tim Stettheimer and Linda Reed to the CHIME Board of Trustees.

Tim Stettheimer, PhD, FCHIME is Senior Vice-President and CIO at St. Vincent's Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, and has been an active CHIME member since 2000. Regarding his position on the Board, Tim states that, “The key to our collective success as healthcare CIOs will be determined by how well we adapt to this changing world of systems, staffing, and stakeholders. As a Board member, I believe a key measure of my success will be to help equip us all with tools to successfully turn these inevitable changes into opportunities.”

Linda A. Reed is Vice President of Information Systems and Chief Information Officer of Atlantic Health. “I look forward to serving as a CHIME Board member to continue the practice of evolving our organization,” said Linda. “Healthcare is changing and CHIME, as an organization, will need to respond in kind. As the CIO of a large, multi-facility healthcare provider, I participate actively in the operations of these hospitals and other services, and address these challenges first hand. I feel I can use my day to day experience to help CHIME understand and respond to the complexities that impact CIOs daily.”

Stettheimer and Reed began their 3-year terms on the CHIME Board on January 1, 2008.

About CHIME

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) was formed with the dual objectives of serving the professional development needs of healthcare CIOs and advocating the more effective use of information management within healthcare. CHIME's events and activities were designed to reflect that purpose, including CIO-oriented surveys, education programs, and networking activities. With membership of over 1,200 CIOs, CHIME has established itself as the premier organization serving the needs of healthcare CIOs. CHIME's educational initiatives are supported by the CHIME Foundation, a group of 54 providers of healthcare IS products and services.
