CHIME Foundation Celebrates 15 Years
ANN ARBOR MI – The CHIME Foundation is celebrating 15 years of service to the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) as well as its members this year.
The CHIME Foundation, founded in 1994, enables providers of healthcare IT/IS products and services to financially support the educational initiatives of CHIME. What began as a 15 member organization now includes 66 Foundation Firms in three levels of membership.
“We’re a long-time member company of the CHIME Foundation and we’ve always found it to provide valuable insight and information,” says Ralph P. Fargnoli, Jr., president and CEO of healthcare management consulting firm Beacon Partners, Inc. He has served on both the CHIME Board of Trustees and the CHIME Foundation Board of Directors. “Because of the CHIME Foundation, we’re able to interact with a diverse group of CIOs helping us stay in tune with the challenges they face and enabling us to better help them formulate strategies to achieve their IT initiatives.”
As the CHIME Foundation grows, Foundation members are offered more specialized and unique opportunities to reach healthcare CIOs, and to work with them to develop and improve products and services. Benefits include networking opportunities at CHIME events, focus groups, features in CHIME publications, and online educational programs such as CHIME’s College Live! programs.
“The CHIME Foundation has been incredibly valuable for CHIME,” said CHIME Foundation Executive Director Rich Correll. “We have grown a lot in the past 15 years, and I’ve been pleased to see the mutual benefits for both CHIME and the CHIME Foundation continue to grow. We all look forward to expanding this partnership into the future.”
The relationship between CHIME and the CHIME Foundation remains strong as healthcare IT continues to develop under governmental guidelines that are continually changing. The CHIME Foundation continues to serve its mission: to serve the professional needs of Healthcare CIOs and to advance the strategic application of information technology in innovative ways aimed at improving the effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
