CHIME Foundation Boot Camp Congratulates 31 Graduates
ANN ARBOR, MI – The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and the CHIME Foundation are pleased to welcome 31 representatives of CHIME Foundation Firms to the elite group of CHIME Foundation Boot Camp Alumni.
Held Friday, April 3 in Chicago, the intensive and highly interactive educational program featured distinguished CIOs and industry executives as faculty. During the day-long program, CHIME Foundation firm representatives learned to see their business from the “CIO point of view.”
Participants gained a deeper understanding of:
- The role of the CIO in today’s provider environment and how to use these insights to better understand customers.
- How an organization’s governance structures and decision processes, or lack of them, affect the CIO.
- The keys to establishing and maintaining long-term, strategic partnerships with CIOs.
“We’re hearing directly from CIOs what they’re looking for in a lot of really detailed ways. What they’re looking for in relationship building, and how they’re viewing the business, and how the governance works within their organization, I think has been very interesting,” said Boot Camp attendee Lara Sibley, director of marketing for CDW Healthcare.
The Spring 2009 CHIME Foundation Boot Camp is the second offering of the educational session, with only 64 alumni. The CHIME Foundation Boot Camp is open to representatives from all CHIME Foundation firms. For more information on the CHIME Foundation, visit www.chime-foundation.org.
