CHIME Congratulates John Glaser on Appointment to ONC
ANN ARBOR, MI - The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) congratulates its founding chair, John Glaser, Ph.D., FCHIME, on his appointment as Advisor to the Office to the National Coordinator (ONC).
Glaser is CIO at Partners Health Care System in Boston. During his six-month appointment as Advisor to ONC, he will retain his position at Partners.
"I cannot think of anyone more suited to advise the ONC," said CHIME President and CEO Rich Correll. "I would venture to say that John is widely recognized as our nation's leading healthcare CIO. In addition to his outstanding achievements at Partners, he is a renowned expert and thought leader on healthcare IT. It is certain to be of benefit to the healthcare industry to have his counsel provided to the ONC as the HITECH act is deployed"
Glaser will be working with Dr. David Blumenthal who has been appointed to the position of National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
