CHIME Foundation Welcomes New Members

ANN ARBOR, MI – The CHIME Foundation is pleased to welcome new Premier and Associate members to the nonprofit organization structured to support educational programs and activities for the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).

New Premier Members:

AT&T, a new company to the CHIME Foundation that specializes in digital health/telemedicine.
Compuware/Covisint, which upgraded to Premier Membership from the Associate Level. The company is provides enterprise software and IT services.
IntelliDOT Corp. also upgraded to Premier Membership from the Associate Level. It is a provider of wireless, handheld clinical support technology to eliminate medical errors at the bedside.
Medicity provides a unique healthcare information exchange and interoperability solution that integrates hospitals, physicians and others. The company recently merged with Novo Innovations, and upgraded to Premier Membership from the associate level.
NextGen, new to the CHIME Foundation, that provides integrated electronic health record and practice management systems, connectivity solutions, and billing services for hospitals and ambulatory practices.
Symantec, a company that upgraded from the Foundation Member Level to Premier Level. It helps organizations secure and manage their information-driven world.

New Associate Members:

dbMotion, providing clinicians and applications access to real-time, integrated clinical information.
Dearborn Advisors, LLC, a professional services firm that partners with healthcare organizations to maximize their return on advanced clinical information technology investments.
Encore Health Resources, LLC providing industry experts to the healthcare market.
Hyland Software, Inc., offering enterprise content management software that integrates document management, business process management and records management in a single application.
Innovative Consulting Group, providing IT consulting services to healthcare systems with expertise in clinical implementations, application support, systems integration, and revenue cycle management.
Oracle, a company that delivers a comprehensive enterprise portfolio management solution.
Research In Motion, helping clinical staff and affiliated doctors operate within a regulatory compliant mobile environment.
SunGard Availability Services, a company dedicated to delivering information availability.

CHIME Foundation Firms are given access to healthcare CIO members of CHIME, benefitting both the Foundation Firm and the healthcare CIOs.

“To be effective, bedside safety systems need to support the goals of clinicians and CIOs alike,” said Michael E. Donner, Vice President, Marketing and Inside Sales at IntelliDOT. “By working with leading healthcare CIOs and the CHIME Foundation, we hope to address common but unnecessary concerns with interfaced IT systems and show that the best IT selection is the one that clinicians will use as intended – and the one that keeps patients safest.”

CHIME Foundation Members allow CHIME members to give input on products and services the Foundation Firms are developing. Often, Foundation Firms and CHIME members partner together to create educational programs such as College LIVE sessions, or to create educational track sessions for CHIME’s Fall CIO Forum.
