CHIME09 Fall CIO Forum Call for Presentations
February 20 – April 19, 2009


The CHIME09 Fall CIO Forum Call for Track Session Presentations will be available on the CHIME website Friday, February 20 – Sunday, April 19. The Fall Forum will be held October 27-30, with the track session portion of the program taking place on Thursday, October 29th.

Submit a presentation and share your knowledge, insight, and expertise with nearly 500 CIOs and top healthcare IT executives! This is a great opportunity to:
  • Discuss challenges and achievements in your work.
  • Report on the latest trends and practices in healthcare IT.
  • Explore leadership issues healthcare CIOs are grappling with.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Submit your proposal online by clicking here. All presentations must be received by 11:00pm Eastern on Sunday, April 19, 2009. No Exceptions.
  • Primary contacts will be notified of presentation status (acceptance or rejection) beginning the week of June 1, 2009.
  • Speaker(s) must be a current member of CHIME or Senior-level executive of a CHIME Foundation firm.
  • Preference will be given to joint presentations by CHIME CIO(s) and CHIME Foundation executives.
  • A presentation abstract must be included with your proposal and include a minimum of 150 words. The abstract must include a basic description of the presentation and identify key learning objectives (in bullet-point style). Additional background information may be included, for example, the challenges and barriers faced; the conclusion or outcomes achieved and the recommendations that you would offer.
  • A biography is required for all speakers and must be submitted along with your presentation.
  • Sales pitches are not appropriate and proposals appearing as such will be rejected.
  • CHIME will correspond only with the primary contact noted in the proposal. It is the primary contact’s responsibility to notify the speaker(s) of proposal status.
  • A maximum of three (3) presentations may be submitted per organization or individual but not more than one (1) presentation per track.
  • The deadline for all online presentation submissions is 11:00pm Eastern, Sunday, April 19, 2009. After this time, no further presentations will be accepted.
Preference will be given to joint presentations
by CHIME CIOs and CHIME Foundation Executives
