BenchmarkIT

Are you looking for a resource that will allow you to quickly and easily find reliable comparative information on IT Staffing and Budget utilization? Look no further than CHIME’s new Benchmark Information Tool: benchmarkIT!

CHIME’s new benchmarkIT portal puts the resources you need to evaluate and justify IT budgetary and staffing needs right at your fingertips. Based on criteria you provide, benchmarkIT offers six comparative reports based upon IT Budget, Financial, and Staffing statistics compiled from more than 2,500 hospitals. With benchmarkIT, you can compare your organization with as many as three unique populations, including participating CHIME members’ facilities and custom-defined, peer populations that you create by selecting from available demographic criteria. BenchmarkIT is available to CIOs once they join CHIME!

“As a change to corporate policy, our organization is considering the establishment of pre-determined limits for annual IT capital spending. Part of this process is to look at spending history within the organization, as well as comparing to others across the industry. The CHIME benchmarkIT tool enabled me to quickly produce comparative reports using data from all CHIME and AHA member organizations, as well as information from organizations in my region of the same type and size. This is an incredible tool that will only continue to grow in scope and value. My advice to CHIME members is to first ensure the accuracy of their organization's AHA survey data, and then make good use of this invaluable tool.”
