CHIME Job Postings

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) is the leading organization serving the professional needs of healthcare Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and advancing the strategic application of information management in healthcare. Formed in 1992, CHIME has established a track record of unequalled accomplishments in its growth (now more than 1400 members) and beneficial offerings to its CIO members. As a service to its members, the organization has established an official Job Posting Service for individuals/corporations to advertise for healthcare executives.

CIO/Senior Executive Positions:

The main CHIME job postings board is reserved for positions that qualify an individual for CHIME membership. These generally include healthcare provider or payer positions with the title of CIO, CMIO, CNIO, Deputy CIO, or other high ranking corporate IS executive positions that meet our current Membership Criteria.

Every other Thursday, an email broadcast of available positions is sent via listserve to members who are interested in learning about open positions. Qualifying positions are posted free of charge for a period of 3 months. Postings reside on our website and are sent out via listserve to those members who have signed up for the service.

To qualify for this FREE posting, the position must be for the highest ranking IS executive at a healthcare provider or payer, or must be for a "second-in-command position as indicated above. These are the ONLY positions that qualify our members for membership in CHIME, and the ONLY listings that can be considered for free job listings.

Non-CIO postings

Firms may post positions that do not qualify for CHIME membership in a separate area of the Career Resources Center. These positions must be senior roles that carry a scope of responsibility that would be of interest to a current CIO. This area is not meant for staff positions. Appropriate postings include high-level positions with CHIME Foundation firms, consulting positions, or other healthcare senior executive positions.

Non-CIO postings run for a period of 90 days and are subject to a $300 fee for CHIME Foundation firms and $500 for non-CHIME Foundation firms.
